Dark Side

Abbie created two penguin designs, she wanted to create one to represent the light side of life and one to represent the little bit of dark. In this design she chose to use a building like pattern to represent that being in a work environment everyday can hold you down and stop you achieving your goals. She used more black ink on this piece to demonstrate the dark feeling you get when you are setting your alarm to go to a job you hate, to earn just about enough money to pay your bills. She used a bubble pattern to symbolise the idea that we are trying to rise to the top and do our best but the companies always drag us down, almost as if we are trapped in this bubble with no escape.
