“LIFE IS A JOURNEY, IT CAN TAKE YOU ANYWHERE YOUR WILLING TO GO”

I went for a walk the other day and my little brother gave me a buttercup, and this is how I created this piece. It is the first piece where I physically used the outside world. In previous doodles I have always used the influence of other creations and patterns. However, this walk made me visually appreciate every aspect of the buttercup, which lead me to draw this design in a completely different way. Through this doodle I tried to capture detail; the true shape of the petals and the journey it went on.

On the journey back from the walk I spotted a rose, it stood out against all the others. The true beauty and colour really contrasted the atmosphere on the rundown high street, this made the flower eye catching. Which then lead me to include the shape of it in this doodle, because it was something that caught my eye, I wanted to create the rose to pop against the other flowers in this design. Which is why I chose to only colour the one flower.
